BRYAN MILONJA, MA, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) located in Victoria, BC
In my practice I work with adults (individuals and couples) and I provide clinical consultation to mental health professionals. My specialty areas include trauma, depression, social anxiety, bipolar/psychosis spectrum issues, intimate relationships, and men's issues. I also help people navigate a wide range of challenges related to identity development, gender/masculinity, sexuality, grief/loss, stress/burnout, addictions, family conflict, and young/midlife adulthood.
I help clients from all walks of life. I support college students, high performance athletes, working professionals, trades workers, health care providers, mental health professionals, emergency services workers, veterans and military professionals, LGBTQ+ folks, and Indigenous peoples.
My clinical background includes working at an early psychosis & bipolar clinic, an addictions recovery program, and a men's trauma centre. I have a special interest in trauma-informed care, gender-sensitive therapy for men, the integration of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and family systems theory in clinical practice with individuals and couples, recovery-oriented approaches to working with extreme emotional states such as psychosis and mania, and strengths-based clinical consultation for therapists.
